Hi Ted, welcome to the forum!

It is a West German Army belt buckle (Bundeswehr)

    Cheers, Ade.

Ted, as Ade has already stated, post war West German Bundeswehr army buckle, funny though, your buckle is made by OLC (Overhoff & Cie) a very prolific WW2 maker of buckles

    Thank you Ben,
How can you tell, and is it unusual that it was made by that manufacturer ?

West German as mentioned. I too have a couple of these....one is marked by Overhoff....not sure if they are that rare....I wouldn't think so.
Ben....does the style itself make it an Overhoff? I don't see markings?

Guys, I knew the buckle was by Overhoff as I used to own one marked OLC. Rob, the cut prongs and the slight upturn on the end of the prongs and their shape is a givaway for me. Ted, any chancee of seeing the makers mark?
