My Bundeswehr and 57er awards collection

OdR (Ordensgemeinschaft der Ritterkreuzträger) stickpin with some enamel damage. The price wasn't that bad, so I went for it.

According to the seller it belonged to Fretter-Pico. In my research I came across two Fretter-Pico's...two brothers, both won the RK:

Maximilian Fretter-Pico († 4th of April 1984)
and
Otto Fretter-Pico († 30th of July 1966)

Gents, another trifold arrived today. The cross is of later production (70s I think), it has a brass suspension ring and magnetic core. It is not that good polished like on early examples....BUT there is something special about it, can you see it?

On the good track, it has something to do with the frames. Don't let the core nor its modern look deceive you!

Nick...nice EK II ! It is earlier than you thought...brass jump ring big/thick suspension ring mid 1960's (mid production)....the only thing unusual about the cross that I can see is the out of line/higher up "3" on reverse "1813" I have such a cross in my collection....Having read some thing about this recently I can not for the life of me remember where and why ! What are the dimensions of this cross ?

Some comparison photos, Deumer on the right and my new arrival on the left. Now look at those inner corners of the frame. I see an S&L core with Deumer frame.
