Here is my latest acquisition, a 1957 model Ostmedaille [Eastern Medal], AKA Medaille "Winterschlacht im Osten 1941/42" [Medal "Winter Campaign in the East 1941/42"] or Winterschlachtmedaille [Winter Campaign Medal]. (However, its recipients who had lived through the 1941/42 winter campaign commonly referred to it as the Gefrierfleischorden [Frozen Meat Medal]).

Unless I am much mistaken, this is an early piece. I am quite pleased with its quality.

It came in a paper packet complete with a miniature medal for wear on a medal chain and a miniature device for mounting on a ribbon bar.

Beautiful early St&L Andreas! The minis are a nice bonus too.

For comparison here is Steve's Deumer with bigger outer rim, different paint texture, ect.

No idea, Nick... It's probably better for my sanity if I don't make myself a wish list; I'd rather let fate decide upon the right item to cross my path and catch my eye at the right time and for the right price...

Thanks for the additional images of the Deumer version!

    Prost ! Steve.
