Post war Ostvolk Medal 2nd Class in Silver........
Gents, my post war version of the Ostvolkmedaille (Medal for Gallantry and Merit) for members of the Eastern Peoples.....although not subject to the 1957 law as there were no forbidden symbols to be replaced in its design, it was made by St u L along side their 1957 productions......This is a second class in Silver with swords for bravery. it keeps my bronze version company....I have a Gold first class with swords on its way, I will post when it arrives.............for reference, the Silver Ostvolkmedaille, both first and second class with/without swords were the the only grade awarded to German members of these units.............
Prost ! Steve.
