Willy Unger flew 59 missions in ME 109's , FW 190's and finally the ME 262 ( no combat missions flown ) , he was shot down 3 times and scored 22 victories , 19 Four Engined Bombers ( B24's , B 17's ) and 3 Russian aircraft during the final Battles around Berlin !!
Luckily for collectors Willy had signed many photos before the onset of Parkinsons and his daughter in law Andrea carried on replying on his behalf !!
Great items Paul, with super provenance ! I would certainly treasure such items !
Thanks for showing...............
Prost ! Steve.
"The German Army is the perfectly adapted, perfectly running Machine. The difference is that the Germans are organised with a view to War...with the cold, hard, practical and business-like purpose of winning victories."
G.W. Steevens - The Daily Mail (1897)
sad to hear of that nasty condition.
Harry Will has been with the Grossen Armee since 2005 so suffers no longer !!
