As Chris says, kepi is a fake.
The positioned eagle is not even the correct version either,
as it is the small Reichsbahn eagle. Not even a political one!

Unfortunately is a bit to late as I've already purchased it, as I was pretty sure it was right but I bow to your superior knowledge. I bought it from an auction, the only thing I can do now is see if they will take it back, could you do me a favour and list everything that's wrong with it so at least I have some ammunition to throw at them.
    Cheers.

    Sorry to hear that.
Eagle is as Wim says--for Reichsbahn.
    Wrong chinstrap buttons.
Sweatband is common Janke style fake.
    Lining incorrect.
    No RZM tag.

    Those are the easiest "tells"
“Show me the regulation, and I’ll show you the exception.”

Hey stonemint, thanks for the fast reply.
What should the lining be, and what should the correct eagle be.
stonemint I've sent you a pm.
    Cheers.

At the very least, the eagle should be looking on its left shoulder. That way it represents the Party. Otherwhise it represents the "country" (not sure if it's the correct term, but should be clear enough).

Just a quick heads up on the kepi, I telephoned the auction house this morning and they have agreed to take it back with a full refund, so a big, big thank you to them and a Big, Big thank you to you guys, especially stonemint and Bob for going the extra mile.
