I'm afraid this is a post war German police/BGS cap - that silly stamp on the sweatband normally is a dead-sure giveaway. Of course Louis Lorz of Darmstadt did make caps in the WWII era, but also afterwards. What WWII era Waffenfarbe should this be? I can't really read what the stamp says, but IMHO it is bogus! Hopefully for you the specialists will contradict me.

Looks like an old reproduction im am afraid..
Dont like the stamp in the sweetband..looks like plastic and not celluloid diamond.. probably a 70's reproduction..imo.
By becoming a paying member it opens up many headgear threads..
