Civilian cap expertise, Period cap with post war insignia?

Article about: Looking at this cap to branch out and expand into more civilian headgear. This looks like a fire brigade/firemans cap. IMO the visor looks period but the insignia does not. Can anyone indica

    Looking at this cap to branch out and expand into more civilian headgear. This looks like a fire brigade/firemans cap. IMO the visor looks period but the insignia does not.

    Can anyone indicate if this is a fair assessment? Ive seen these caps before but the sweat diamond and interior looks postwar where as this one looks like it could be period. Thanks!
