    Hi

It is supposed to be an army side cap or overseas cap if you prefer that term. I am don't like the shape of it and it is very badly damaged plus the eagle looks like it has been added post war.

Personally I would save your money and but a one in better condition as this is not worth any money IMO.

    Hope that helps

    cheers

The eagle looks post war added like Tony said... But if you are satisfied with the condition of it the nthe price is perfect! If you can remove the eagle and place one that is in a mothed shape like the rest of the cap you will have a nice 'relic' cap to fill your relics display! It is all about you and your feelings on having such an item! If you like it i would say the price is perfect and with a little work on it, it would look perfect for what it is. If you want something in better shape for a display then this isn't what you're looking for!

    Yours,
    Michael

Agree definetly a relic cap could it be a reissue Dutch one with that seam on the side or a shortened Heer? don't know about the insignia. Can't tell if any marks in liner which could tell a lot. timothy
