I've no idea on caps at all, however I must say cap looks rather minty, while the eagle seems to have been taken off a moth's dinner plate.
Just wanted to comment on that erm, difference in deterioration.
Nitram
..or he got a salty chicken and threw it on a fake! also, the roundal looks odd. it seems embroidered on the cap itself as opposed to factory or hand embroidered , THEN applied. the tricot material for the cap looks shoddy...i'd feel more confident in the caps of wool construction . the interior is too clean and I dont remember seeing sweat diamonds on the M43's? My opinions , of course.
I dont like it,IMO.
Hello,
IMO the condition is not a red flag for any TR item, there are hundreds of genuine Einheitsfeldmützen in collections that are in brand new condition...
The cap posted in this thread looks like a modified Bundeswehr cap....
Thanks

JP is correct.
This is a fake made from a post war West Geman Luftwaffe cap. Nore the plastic sweatsheild, colour of lining and the thinner looking peak.
Strip it down and sell as parts and a cap. The cockade looks fake though.
Cheers, Ade.
