Default DRK M43 Cap - Wartime or Postwar?

    Good Morning Friends,
I've come upon this very small-sized M43 and would be very grateful for your Opinions as to whether or not it's a Wartime or a Postwar-Issued Piece...
I tend to get suspicious when I see a Grey Sweatband...
    cheers, Glenn

    It's post-war.

Not even very early post-war, in fact, as the earliest caps had a functional turn-up that could be unbuttoned and pulled down to cover the ears.

Such caps - in a slightly evolved form - were worn with the grey service dress into the 1990s. (I know this; I wore one...)

The same cap badge was worn on the sidecap for the field-/work uniform.

You're welcome, Glenn. For illustration, I took a quick snapshot of the service cap and the field cap (displayed on my old work-/field uniform):

The service cap again; displayed on the service tunic. I've posted these before:

(The color looks more natural in these pictures. I hadn't updated the "rank" - actually duty position - insignia on the left upper sleeve after the late nineties, as the grey tunic was phased out by that time.)

Thanks for the Photos - This would explain the 24 Euro "Buy It Now" Price, LOL...

For reasons of privacy, this one will have to do (but you're not missing much anyway ):
