Early NSDAP Kepi for review
Hi All - I came across this early NSDAP kepi on a European dealer site. It is a bit rough all around. I think the leather strap and buttons are correct. There is a lot of aging/rust on the buttons, and they are starting to come off. I haven't seen rust on the buttons quite like that. The interior top is made of cloth, which also looks correct, however typically they were the brown oilcloth. The dealer site states there is a faint party stamp and you can see the outline of an early political eagle. There is rust on the grommets.The flaps are sewn on the body of the visor, which i understand distinguishes this from an early SA kepi. There is no tag.
