The answer to your query lies in your own comparison of the numerous, and I mean, numerous images of originals on this site. This query also should be on the "is it fake" column, as you well know.

Thank you FB,
confirms as already said, my own opinion about this kepi, but I was not 100% sure.
There are of course some "red flags" on this cap, but don't have enought knowledge about this early caps.

It looks to be a: Allgemeine SS Traditions-Kepi für Mannschaften from around 1936 I would guess, not the best photos...
I don’t think this one I genuine, sorry.. (This is not my field so wait for other opinions please!)
There is supposed to be a top fold/seem that seams to be missing on this one..
The insignia seams to be fake (By looking at the photos).
The black material, I don’t like it..
As far as I can see, it is lacking the two vent holes on each side of the cap..
The markings inside the cap looks wrong...
The liner has bean brown leather on all the examples I have seen..
I hope that someone else can clarify more and correct me if I am wrong..
Best of luck
The Saris and Shea Beaver books include many images of authentic SS kepis for all those interested.
one on the left is my fake
How droll.
