The cap looks original but I don't think the sweatband is.

This cap looks good to me. I recently photographed this cap which still belongs to the family of the veteran in Germany. I thought it might be useful for comparison.

The sweatband jumps out as a bit odd. Almost looks like its not part of the original cap.

I notice its got the black coloured covering for the reed rod around the sweatband. This has been part of on-going debate for a while I believe.

All the examples I have seen have a brown covering on this part of the cap.

That said I think the cap looks ok. It has all the classic hallmarks of an EREL made cap.

Hard to say more without handling it.

The price is a bargain if it's a good one. Well worth a punt IMO !
