    Early Reichswehr with TR insignia.

Ah so you believe it to be a WW1 visor cap but with third reich insignia out on it.

The Reichwehr was not WW1. Please do a search about the Reichswehr.

    Cheers, Ade.

Ade is correct. Reichswehr is the German Armed Forces from 1919-1933 under the Weimar Republik.

Many Reichwehr era caps were later updated with Third Reich insignia. However, these would have featured early pattern insignia, ie the short wing span eagle, which this is not.

    Cheers, Ade.

For your reference, here is an early Heer cap eagle from my collection. Note the size of the wingspan.

The guys are correct of course but don't be disheartened, it's a rarer cap than a TR example.
