I found this cap among used clothes. It looks like a crappy costume, but the outer black liner is same like the post war veterans cap's. The cocade is metal. The cap looks old.

If that cap looks old... I must look bl**dy ancient!
Getting back to the OP, i don't think any veterans caps were ever produced with a white top!..
I think too, but the black part is the same.....
