The trick on these is to have the correct gap between the wreath and eagle to allow proper placement of the deathshead. This appears OK, the cap is original.

Thanks Ade! Man, this is super cool, it will match my new M39 Feldbluse very well, as my Feldbluse is also from Hannover. I shouldn't be spending money right now, but I don't think that these come up that often. I will definitely post more pics once it arrives.
A genuine cap to look at, hallelujah!!
Not realy rare but period !

Is it true that only the Braunschweigisches Infantry-Regt. Nr.92 was authorized to wear this totenkopf? How many men would usually be in an Infantry regiment? Thanks for all the replies fellas!
Eddie was the loud bang I heard a few minutes ago your piggy bank breaking
Regards Mark K
Hi Eddie, the traditions skull was worn by Brunswick Inf Regt 92. But durung the Reichwehr era the tradition passed to 1st & 4th Kompanies of Inf Regt 17.
So from 10th Feb 1939:
Regimental staff, 1st and 2nd Battalion Headquaters, 1, 4, 13 and 14 Kompanies of Infanterie Regt 17.
Also worn by 2nd Abteilung and 4th Squadron of Reiter Regt 13.
Worn by all members of 41st Kav Regt, 4th Cav Div. circa 1944-1945.
Cheers, Ade.
