    Default Heer artillery Schiffchen

I just purchased this Heer artillery Schiffchen. The dealer offers a 100 percent original guarantee. If necessary, I can return it. It is not the more commonly encountered M34 or M38 pattern (M40?) so that has me concerned. It has only one size stamp (58) in dark blue ink. I welcome opinions and thanks in advance. NH

    Hi Neil

    Personally I share your concerns.
It is the wrong shape for an Army/Artillery side cap, may be original material or even an original cap but I think the insignia has been added later and I am not convinced by the still bright waffenfabre.

I would take him up on his offer and send it back.

Just my opinion, hope it helps.

    cheers
    Tony

I hate my camera so here are some scans that have better detail. NH

Looks to me like a KM cap which has been incorrectly restored.

    Cheers, Ade.
