Hi Mike, it is bad. Note the metal grommet. Compare to an original.

Note also the angle of the soutach and the overall "newness" of the cap. The insignia might be original.

Hi Mike, thank you for the donation. It is very much appreciated!

Threads are the life blood of the forum. So don't be too concerned about posting too much. My only advice would be to say don't post too many "Is it real" threads, some people can get turned off by this.

The BL Davis book is a must. Don't expect to see photos of extant material in there. It is just period photos and regulations of wear etc. But vital stuff to know and understand.

thank you my forum friend. I wish I was in Great Britain to have a cup of tea or a pint with you. i am a scout leader in pennslyvania and a couple of the boys dads are from the UK. great guys and can we put the pints down.
