Hello,

I just wanted to get some opinions on this cap. It's being sold as a "been there" untouched cap. Also, is there an approx. price range for these caps?

Were caps like these intended for field use or dress use? Or did they usually perform a dual function?

They were intended for wear as service dress only. But occasionaly they were worn in the field, more behind the lines than right up at the front. But, by rights, for field wear an Officer should have worn the Feldmutze Alter Art (Crusher cap) or the M38 Feldmutze (Sidecap) or later still the Einheitsfeldmutze. (M43)
