The proverbial "can of worms".

There are 2 types of Panzer sidecaps.

1. Caps that a certain group of online collectors consider authentic.
2. Everything else.

I would suggest that this cap falls into the second category.

so this cap is a flat-out reproduction or not accepted as correct for CW caps?

In answer to your question, I can't tell one way or the other.

I own one black sidecap that I got for $200. I think it has a good chance of being worn by a HG unit but it caused such a barrage of insults and sarcasm on the other site that I no longer have much interest in Pz fieldcaps.
