It looks to have had SS adler & Totenkopf insignia removed from it, though I am not qualified to comment on the originality of the cap or when the insignia was removed.

SS side cap with insignia removed and cloth looks good but not my area of experise so wait for some more views as to originality....

It's lacking in some of the features I like to see in an original SS sidecap plus as the guys have said, the lining material and the way it's sewn is a cause for concern.

I don't like the liner material and the basic Shape of the hat itself almost reminds one of a women's auxiliary style cap of some sort.
