One question; Why does it have a manufacturer's stamp with city (Bielefeld?) and an RB number? I defer to others but see at least that red flag. NH
Hi I have no idea
This is a little bit confusing: pics without cap cords, one pic with cap cords (unfortunately z-wise twisted - GDR?), funny stamp "Leaderwaren" ???? Leder = leather, leader = Führer!!, RB-Nr in a peaked cap?? Peculiar lining, peculiar visor (no cross-hatch) - I am very sceptic. The specialists can certainly tell from these pictures alone, what this is. I don't like it. Can't talk about the insignia as I don't know a thing about these.
It wants to be a Pionier officer's cap but I'm afraid it is not.
Hi
Thanks for the comment , what ever this is I think it's always good to post even if it's just as a talking point we are all learning and these posts help I wish I knew more but I'm new to this and I'm enjoying the journey thanks again
What ever it once was, or what it is trying to be now, it is not pre-1945
“Show me the regulation, and I’ll show you the exception.”
^ I agree. And I can't place it either - doesn't match anything I have ever seen. The insignia may stand a chance but the cap is some unknown entity. NH
At least the eagle is real
