What is the leather sweat band stitched to??

It's stitched to the cap band by the looks of it. I will post more photos tomorrow after work.

Hat has some oddities--ie, the waterproof top and the location of the junction of the sweatband. However, it looks good in spite of same to me.

Bit of an odd one as Chris has already said. You don't usually see a line of stitching around the top the sweatband on a stirndruckfrei cap. Sweatband is also very wide.

Price is dictated by numerous factors: rarity; condition; quality; aesthetic shape; maker; and demand.

That being said, one of the best indicators of price is any auction with no reserve and a (very) low starting bid.
