A very nice cap, but sadly for me the interest that these have always attracted places them way out of my affordability! Leon.

I bought this cap in 1970 for all of USD 35 and disposed of it two or so years later, whereupon in the 1990s it got immortalized in this book.

The person offered to sell it back to me, but it had deteriorated from what you see here and I let it pass.

The cap I illustrate is not a Waffen SS armor cap, it is an army Jaeger cap. The latter is not for sale. I offer the Wellhausen cap I know for reference, and
I abstain from further comments on the high jinx of the color pipes.
