Hi Mark, it is original.

The insignia are a little bit badly placed. I would check in hand these have not been re -attached. But not a huge problem.

It's been listed as hand stitched insignia, so that may explain the poor positioning

Im fairly confident, that it is a good original example. Its well made, representing the period quality.
I like it a lot.
