I agree, old repro. Insignia has been re-attached. Looks like it was used by a movie/stage prop house?

I don't think the visor is real, either--no crosshatching or grain to the underside.
“Show me the regulation, and I’ll show you the exception.”
I can see how it would fool many people but it's not authentic.
LTD stands for Limited company here in the UK and I wouldn't be surprised if it was a 1969 Battle of Britain movie prop!!.
That would be pretty cool.
I think this stands for International model management, who are film and TV props suppliers in London, Avalon TV are one of their subsideries I think, Ben may well be right, it could be a BOB prop, ive seen the Avalon TV advertised in Film credits before
Great info Dave! I'd be willing to pay a decent amount of money for it if it could be linked to the 1969 film.
Must have seen it a hundred times! "how many times do I have to tell you, never fly straight and level for more than 30 seconds in the combat zone!"
Ben it looks like the BoB Genl visors were cruder than I recall!:

eagle has no head but didn't need it for a movie

"Corp , where you taking those vultures," "NCOs to the brig , officers to the mess sir" " like hell you are, they made this mess, get them to clear it up" "what shall i do with the officers sir" " give them a bloody shovel"
