Luftwaffe NCO Cap Fake or Genuine?
Hi, I am new to this forum and was wondering if you could authenticate this cap for me? I bought it some time ago from a dealer in the Netherlands with some other Luftwaffe items including a very nice Oxygen Mask. This cap is in really lovely condition so I am afraid for along time now I have always worried it was fake and finally I would like to know. Any help would be appreciated even if it is bad news. Thanks, Matt

exterior body of the cap looks O.K., I am, however, no specialist for badges. More pictures from the interior would be helpful - try to lift the sweatband carefully and have a look how the lining is sewn in. Can you see the material the centerband is sewn on? Black lacquered or natural cardboard would be O.K. Check the padding - how does it feel? When you feel foam rubber the cap is bad. Visor looks O.K., too. Weber is a well known manufacturer/distributor of TR caps, compare here
WH-Pz (Panzer) Visors
and have a check in the forum yourself! The fact that a cap looks new is not necessarily a sign for a fake - there are many new-looking originals around.
If you are lucky one of the real specialists such as stonemint e. al. will have a look - they can tell you on first sight if I am right.
looks ok to me very nice one.
