This is not for sale but was a cap I previously owned and have posted for discussion.

The photo does not show this but the cap band is joined at the back on this example.

Re-worked postwar BRD Luftwaffe visor. Note that the sweatdiamond is plastic. Also, Carl Halfar's name is spelled out--they never used this during the TR. Lastly, the ribbing on the mohair band is always less pronounced than on the TR lids. A good job, and meant to deceive (except for the sweatdiamond).

I think the cap cords are slightly thicker than normal as well, reminds me of some that are produced in Spain

100% in agreement, postwar fabrication. However very nice looking repro though.
1) Luft Visors are NEVER EVER joined at the back on the center band
2) I totally agree the sweat diamond is plastic and with the wrong Carl Halfar markings
3) I cant tell from the picture but is the visor crosshatched underneath or is it smooth green? if smooth no good
again however an EXCELLENT reproduction, I wouldn't hesitate to use it as a filler in a collection untli acquiring a perfect one!
