Hi, no, sorry I cannot tell you that. I do know that those particular fake insignias have been around since the 1980's.

The interior and logo are incorrect. The silver piping does not match that of known period examples. I would suggest that a close up inspection of the piping installation would tell all. As Ade mentioned the insignia are known copies. Finally, I would also believe that a hands on examination would show wool inferior to that used in period. I can not tell you when this hat was made but it is undoubtedly bad.

Yet more images....the cap in question for a senior rank officer would be a very costly item, indeed. The cap at the top of this file is a fake of some longevity that is pretty widespread in the internet.

Maederer has one of these for a field grade rank for sale, if you have a spare five figure sum in your shrinking bank account.
