I'd like to get some opinions on this visor. I have yet to add one to my collection and this one has crossed my path for potential purchase. Please let me know what you think.

This is exactly what I mean when I write that our posts have improved the fakes.

I do not know where these things come from, or who makes them, but they are very close to an original.

Shea has two of these originals for sale, but at a very steep price.

Shea's cap is rather costly, and I am sure you can find one for less, but find a real one.

This kind of cap is not especially rare, all things considered. I do not know what a reasonable price is, and I won't engage that issue as I have no idea

of your budget or your tolerance for the prices of these things.

My point is simple: if you look around, you can find a good one.

What you have there should go back to the sender with a few stern words.

Without listing all the flaws, which is neither my job nor my duty, here is a little hint at one failure of this item. My enclosure is from an authentic cap.

Also, note the shape of questionable cap versus an original.

The misshapen appearance derives from the cap being crushed, or not.
