    Hi

sorry but it is indeed a post war cap. the KM officer caps are very rare and fetch big money for a right one.

easy to get caught with these bundeswehr caps when you start out. My one and only naval cap I bought as original was also a bundeswehr one !

Hope it was not a big outlay for you.

    cheers

Same for me, but in my case it was thrown in free with some KM trousers I had bought so no cost.

Remember for the future, 3 serial number stamps on the sweatband = post war for sure.

Ben is correct. We call these the "triple serial #s" because of the stamping on the leather. Always in the same font, and a sequence of three. Whomever supplied leather to the Bundeswehr stamped their sweatbands with these tell-tale signs. Any time you see it on an alleged TR visor, run away.

    Ok thanks guys.
I made up my mind for sure now,
I get more informed on the matter and dont gonna buy things no more before knowing exactly what it is.
Really shaming that people abuse this expensive hobby,
So I'll take long rest on collecting German stuff,
And I'll look for cheap and original Belgian stuff :-)
Way to difficult this nice hobby
