My friend bought this overseas cap few days.
Maybe third reich period?
I think the cockade is prewar west german and looks like that reverse attached it.

This is an interesting concept, really.

The cockade is from the FRG, i.e. West German state after 1949. And, today, of course, but the cap is likely from the earlier history of the Bw.

There are now very good books on Bw uniforms to be had.
