I'm thinking this is a civilian cap, as I can't recall ever seeing a military one in delicate suede leather. Suede would be destroyed in no time out in the field. The color of the lining makes me think it's a woman's cap. Nice cap, at any rate!

Very curious. I would say American made and like William and Paul I would go with a civvy item of some kind.

    Cheers, Ade.

Well, when you think about it, you can't even get suede Wet much less rained on or dirty. Suede jackets and boots all have to be thoroughly treated and sealed before you can wear them or else they are ruined the minute they get a bit of rain, etc on them. Hardly something meant to be worn outside with a uniform. And, what kind of tough guy military man would want a cap with a Pink silk lining? lol I think you can rest assured this isn't anything male or military! But, it Is very well made and was definitely not cheap in the shops for sale. Women are always putting brooches and pins on hats, so I wouldn't puzzle over it too much. Just a really nice woman's leather cap, is all, I would say!
