Thanks again! That all makes sense, I will most likely just leave it be, I figured out how to expand the photo's for further comment, just click them for a bigger view, these should be MUCH better!!!

Here is Mr d'Alquen's cap (right) that got rebuilt as time went on. Such things surely happened. I have two that were amended into leader caps. It was easy to do in the epoch.(left)

I would also leave the cap in the same configuration as it was in Wim's book, should you want to sell it, which none of us will ever do.
