Good morning to all
I would like to have your thought on that A-SS visorcap ....
Could it according to you be good by any chance ? The insignas ? the sweat band ? the fabric ??? The labels and stamps number inside the visor ?? The sewing ? The cloth ???
Any opinion most welcome, here is the beast:

A very good effort, but a fake as far as the hat goes.

Thank you for your time and comment ... That is what i feared ... I felt quite unconfortable with that hat and couldn't put the figure on ... it looked textbook from afar ... then getting close, all was almost right .... the sweatband / the SS marking / the visor ...
What gave it away for me was the making N° on the inside label ... Doesn't match to anything i know so far ... thus not a ink stamped number and looked like a computer generated N°
Can't figure out the insignas neither due to the paint ...
That is a very well done fake, i must admit ...

Kurt, I would suggest that you become a WRF Club member, then you will have access to the hidden threads, and you can then compare originals to the fakes.
Also, I would recommend posting a hat before you buy--I would have to believe this was an expensive purchase.

My time of buying before checking is bygone after i got burned a few times ... One always pay to learn ... one way ( books / paying membership ) or the other ( getting scammed ) ... The first option is usually far less expensive ...
I've been thinking of that membership for some time now and the time has come looks like !
