Any thoughts on this one? I'd be glad to post more pictures if needed. Just let me know what to shoot closeups of. Thanks in advance for you help!

Not good, IMO.
Probably a Bundeswehr cap with an original EM chinstrap and repro
insignia of the type from the late 70's, early 80's........
Regards,
Steve.
I agree that this is a stinker. The chin strap is the incorrect form not being jointed in the center. Bad insignia. Incorrect liner material for a period cap. The interior reminds me of the old Beinhorn replicas. There is a reason that the sweatshield has been removed. Sorry, but I believe this is defintely another piece from the 4th Reich.

Definately a Bundeswehr cap, got one just like it, use it for fancy dress
That's too bad. Thanks, guys, for all your input!
Bob is right, because the Fa. Beinhorn made such caps in a distant place, a product that was vastly better than the Atwood/"Berlins aelteste Mutzenfabrik" thingies. No Bw cap ever had a field grey or green grey cap cover, but the interior is typical of the Bw caps of the 1960s. It is actually rare, but it is not a real SS cap. We have many images of such items here to examine.
Agree, also notice the TK w/ a "mustache". typical fake froM the 70's.sorry.
