A couple of issues with the cap as I see it.
The peak has an odd pattern rather than the smooth finish found with the lacquer used on most peaks. personally I have only ever seen this style of finish on post war caps. So that would be a red flag for me.
The cap band seems to dip above the skull...........does this indicate tampering ? Second red flag for me.
The cap band material and the crown seem a bit "fluffy" IMO but that may be the photos.
Is the certificate a guarantee of authentcity ?
What is the stamp on the sweat band ? Is this the convincer for the unsure ?
Perhaps some of the guys with more knowledge on insignia can help nail it down as well as the pictures make it ticky to see all the details for me to be sure.
I'm not personally convinced on the cap. The final nail for me would be the price.....If it's cheap walk away ! If it's expensive then see what the other guys say before you take the plunge.....
Godd luck and happy shopping !

So did I pass the test of spotting a fake or not ?
This hat I have tried to sell as original, my knowledge is very basic and so I asked for help in the forum
If you do a search on this Forum, you will find many original examples of this type of schirmutze. The logo under the sweatshield is a joke. This one is pretty easy to spot as a product of the 4thy Reich.
