No good...all sorts of wrong here
sorry it's bad....................best advice is to have a look at the original examples on the forum and compare it with yours. Hopefully that will help you for the next time.
If you can return this visor to the seller ASAP.
cheers
Tony
Also eagle and skull? No chance for the visor cap?
None, really.
It is worth noting that genuine branch-piped Waffen-SS service caps are extremely rare.
This is due to the fact that cap piping in Waffenfarbe was only in effect for some six months from May to November 1940, after which piping color reverted back to the original universal white. Given such a short timespan combined with the usual wear-out-periods, it is probably safe to assume that most W-SS officers hadn't even acquired a branch-colored cap when they became obsolete again.
Others, following regulations, would have had their piping altered to white, while some others would have worn out and discarded their color-piped caps in the four-and-a-half years of war following that period. Add to that the facts that the W-SS was still far from its peak strength in the summer of 1940 (a time when only four divisions existed) and that the majority of personnel would have worn white (= infantry) branch color anyway, and the scarcity of these caps becomes quite clear.
It is no exaggeration to say that more than 99% of the branch-colored SS caps on offer are complete fakes or at least messed with. So, they are really not a good starting point for a collector of SS headgear.

Our moderator "Stonemint" - an expert on headgear - has assembled images of caps in several reference threads sorted both by organisation/branch and authenticity. Those he has posted in the sticky threads of the "Cap Authentication" sub-forum are all at least questionable.
He has gathered the genuine ones in the "A Guide to Authentic Third Reich Visor Hats" section:
https://www.warrelics.eu/forum/guide...ch-visor-hats/
Branch-piped W-SS ones specificially are found in this thread:
SS COLOR-Piped Visors
Even a normal grey SS cap with white piping is very, very rare.
