I cannot speak about the Heer piece, but the Waffen-SS cap is not the issue type. Whether it is a post war copy or an original field made cap will always be the question.

OK, thanks Bob.

I never seen a field made cap in a such quality, usually they are too ugly and did not looks like must be. IMO both are bad , SS M43 cap must have other type of grommets on it, and they are allways doublesided ( the reverse is practically the same as obverse, and originals sometimes reverse side is a bit smaller in diameter). The sweat band is wrong, original band is fatter due of simplified technology, but fakers cannot understand that from just a pictures, and the stitching on the sweadband is finished all the cap construction. Here you can see obvious imitation, which is obviously wrong. The late war type clth used on the cap is simple to get from a late war Zeltplane, which is cheaper than other examples, and fakers love them, even being sold a couple of the caps they got 2 time more money even sold them as a copy made from original material
