Hello all, I have been recently offered this piece. I looks fine to me, except the alder looks a bit odd. It looks sort of shiny. I am used to seeing the standard uniform breast eagle on the caps. Can anyone help? Thank you.

Textbook classic, mid to late war and made from high quality trikot twill. Nice piece.

The later eagles are a shinier weave because of the fabric used.

Yes a nice cap and it looks to be in unissued condition
The way this cap is made--underside visor stitching, grommets, zig-zag, nice twill, look very Franz Ritter to me. Was wondering if he used an RB Nr later and did he make Heer caps...? I have only seen his tan, green lined, KM caps. Anyone on this issue?
What is the RB number? I cannot make it out in the pic?
