The color is way off on my screen, doesn't look right to me. Liner is wrong color also.

Well I think his photography background is crappy.
But I believe it is good.
I like it and see no problems. I think it is just the colour balance on the pics which is the problem.

I think the darker tone to the wool as well as the black paint on the chin strap posts indicate this one was a WWII issue reused in post-war Germany. Thousands of shakos were used by the post-war police, often with green wool dyed/colored black as well as fittings. The liner exhibits extreme wear. Bill Shea describes the markings on the liner as correct.
It is TR production, but the condition is poor. These are common--I would hold out for a better one.
