    Default Unknown Feldmutze for authentication/identification

    Hello Group,
Does anyone have any comments on this cap? The piping seems to be a very dark blue. I see no markings on the liner except for a capital "E" that is down by where the liner is stitched to the bottom of the cap. I can post a picture of this marking later, my camera battery died just before I posted this. In the meantime, any comments would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I'm not too sure that the insignia is original to this cap-who ever put it on seems to have sewn it on skewed. It looks crooked, doesn't it? William

    Hi William,
Thanks for your comment. I think the insignia looks crooked because the piping behind it doesn't fall exactly on center. This makes the insignia look a little funny but it otherwise seems to be placed where it should. I've posted a close-up of the insignia and of the only stamp I can find in the interior.

It is an original cap. But for once my memory fails me, I just cannot recall for which organisation it is for? Certainly civil/political.

    Cheers, Ade.
