Visor Cap Authentic?

Hello, I am in the process of buying this cap on another forum. Obviously its in bad condition and many collectors here wouldnt want it, but I am getting it cheap so I'm very happy with that. Before I complete the sale can I just get any opinions about originality? Cant see any problems myself but have found its always a good idea to get things checked out. Many thanks, Douglas

For me, this appears to be an upgraded enlisted ranks cap that did not start life as an officer mutze. It isd a period original cap.
