Waffen SS camo field cap authenticity.

Came across this SS camo field cap yesterday and would like the forums opinions on authenticity.

Very hard...in 1975 I bought one from a collection in Normandie(Caen), the colors are not so fresh and the rivets not rusted. It's so easy to make....

These were field made and while there certainly were tailors in the field ( so quality could be quite good ) for me this just looks too well made.... and if it was made in the 1970's then it has 40 years aging to it.

hard to tell,its a field made cap. The air vents are suspect, compare with mine.

The vent look small compared to WWII ones

I have mine from Benhamou' s collection, he haad only Hitlerjugend items and when he sold me the cap, there was the totenkopf on, I bought also a dot 44 uniform with SS insignias on the collar. I don't keep it because it was not mint !
