I dont think its an original SS visor cap.

I have moved this to the correct forum for cap questions. Please post the other items in the relevant forums, thanks.
Pat: note the Dutch maker.
This cap is interesting.

I DO believe this could be an authentic Dutch-made SS visor cap, and bares a certain similarity in materials, visor etc. to some I've seen in the past. Much closer pics are a must...
Arran is right, it is a genuine Dutch cap. I had one from a Canadian vet from the same maker. It is pictured in Michael Beaver's book on SS Headgear.

These Dutch made items can be very tricky. I made some really foolish statements about a tunic with foreign made insignia a few months back and was very embarrassed when better informed members corrected the record. It's therefore a really good thing that we have very informed members like Arran, d'alquen and Ade to make sure that these foreign made items get the correct designation.
I also like the look of this cap.

No doubt in my mind that this is an original cap. I would be very interested in buying it because of my Dutch family roots.
I am sorry for my comment, I thought it was a fake but I am glad I was wrong. I never knew of these Dutch caps.
Cheers, Patrick
Not many are aware of them Pat.
A few have popped up over the years though.
