I don't like the skull but lets see what others say.
Edit: also I don't really like the eagle but as said lets see what others say, The eagle might stand a chance.
Edit: Bob Coleman should know but he is not online right now.
    Best Regards Matt

On the look out for original ww2 M26 Adrian helmet liner.

The cap itself might be real just the skull looks completely wrong.

The cap is original, no doubt. A nice holters. It might be the picture, but the sweatband might be replaced or reinforced with extra stiching poking through edge.

When the skull was applied, I have no clue. But I think these are only meant for Cav visors.
Like anything, it might be soldier done.

As stated the cap is original. The skull is a traditions badge real but badly applied. Probably as an after thought to bump the price up

In addition, I can see where the Hoheitszeichen originally was, and the thing has been amplified with the Totenschaedel.
It is, however, as noted, a real Holters cap, which is significant.

WH infanterie capThe cap has a normal Holters, fore head free arrangement.

Holters items are rare, and, because this firm tailored Hitler's uniforms, they are of note.

This type skull was used as a traditions badge by the 17th Infantry Regt, although I have my doubts that this particular one is original to this cap.
