Is it supposed to be Himmler's hat from those markings?

I have never seen this type of SS visor. I doubt it's a original.

The cap is a very poor copy of the SS white summer dress cap. A recently made product of the 4th Reich.

Hi, no, nothing to do with Himmler with regards to ownership. Have a read up in the SS forum about RZM tags.

    Cheers, Ade.

The hat appears to be a Reddick Militaria repro that is in his catalog along with "Erel" repros and tons of reproductions. Some of his items turn up as "originals" to the uninformed!!Suggest you new members pick one of his catalogs up to see all of his stuff! Goodbuys

What Schirmmütze is it?What Schirmmütze is it?Or read this....I will let someone else translate it. Just a word here, though, of subtle detail. The black RFSS tag beloved by one and all was more or less phased out ca. 1938....kinda. This species of white cap came into limited use in the days before the outbreak of the second world war, that is, the summer of 1939.What Schirmmütze is it?What Schirmmütze is it?What Schirmmütze is it?What Schirmmütze is it?What Schirmmütze is it?What Schirmmütze is it? It is also true that such white caps were worn by some at the 1936 Olympics. The RFSS tag originated, I believe, in 1934 and was used through 1937, as near as I can tell, or maybe a little longer.

Adrian and Bob Coleman are correct. The collector scape is flooded with fake white SS caps.

What Schirmmütze is it?What Schirmmütze is it?What Schirmmütze is it?Here is a real white SS cap. It is from a leading collection owned by a leading scholar of this material, and it is contained in the Shea Beaver book, for which I do not get a cent. Nor is it mine, either. I prefer them to be colored black, like my soul.
