WW2 German visor hat?

I braved the sub zero temps today to go to the flea market. I found several US items but then also found this hat. I took a chance for $5 USD. I have never owned or collected WW2 German Visor hats so I have no real knowledge. If any of you can give me some advice that would be great.

From what I know it looks to be or can be post war made and in rough shape looks like it's been gutted, but just wait until what the experts have to say.

Piping is faded, but it appears to be a postwar DDR postman's visor. (It is not TR).

I think that is it my friend. The piping at first I thought was yellow but when I got it home it appears to be more of a orange color. Thank you very much.
Oh well I'll keep swinging for the bleachers and maybe hit a home run one of these days.
