WWII German Panzer Corps Officer's Visor Cap

I'm wondering whether this is authentic and what it's worth. I also have a photo of the man who this belonged to as well as his Iron Cross medal (War Merit Cross with swords). My grandmother purchased it from some sort of militaria store in Germany about a decade ago. A couple Reddit users had authenticity concerns with the black sweatband, but I'm certainly no expert in this area, so I'm coming here for guidance.

no, it is not authentic, it is a reproduction. Its value depends on whether the insignia/cords are original for which I am no specialist. More photos would help to perhaps determine the maker - doesn't seem to be a Janke, neither is it one of the Latvian fakes.

You have some "mixed nuts here" with this visor cap. It appears to have a plastic sweat diamond which would place it post-war. Better photos are needed.
